About Us
West of England Developments Ltd. is a small, local development and building company based in Somerset. We have a track record for working with communities to deliver quality, rural housing which communities can be proud of.
Within our new housing schemes, we actively seek to understand and deliver upon local community benefits within the Somerset villages that we work in. Our most recent projects include:
Stoke St Gregory
New housing development including:
14 affordable homes for occupiers with a local connection to the village
Construction and fitting out of a new community pavilion building
Funding towards the purchase of the local pub which is now in community ownership and includes a community café and shop
Churchinford
New housing development including:
7 affordable homes for local people
Construction of a local shop. The new shop is now operational and managed by a Community Interest Company which reinvests profits back into the local community and the shop has expanded to include a post office and coffee shop
Land transferred to provide a new playing field
Batts Park, North Petherton
Our new houses are under construction at Newton Road, providing 33 locally built homes in the town on land allocated housing, with a mix of properties ranging from 3-bedroom bungalows to 2 to 4 bedroom houses.
